My ex always wore his watch that way. He just preferred it

Why did you wear it like that? I’ve seen that John Wick also does that. Is it like a military/tactical thing?

Not sure why you would wear it like that but my girlfriend says it makes you look like even your most casual every day beater watch is a premium IWC that most can't afford. And with the shades, the cool factor is through the roof. I think she nailed it...

Sometimes. If sitting on a long gun for hours, it does make it easier to track the time for example.

Supposedly it also helped with keeping reflection to a minimum. But if doing lots of crawling, and other physical stuff the crystal is subjected to quite a bit more than wearing the other way.

Personally I find it easier to just cut a tube sock top off or use a wrist sweat band to cover up if reflection is a worry. YMMV.

My grandfather was a military pilot and said he and his cohort wore them on the inside of the wrist because it was much easier to check seconds with hands on the yoke with the watch positioned like this.

I believe in movies when they have to shot a scene multiple times, they hide the watch and truely the time on the watch. Would be confusing if you could spot one scene showing a certain time and just seconds after showing the time on the watch hours later.
