Hi everyone!
I recently bought a vintage Rolex for a milestone birthday. I have a quote from Zing Insurance for £30pm on a value of c£12k.
Does anyone know if that’s reasonable and/or if there are any other good options for UK watch insurance?
This is my first time insuring a watch on its own (my others are lower value and on my home insurance).
Thanks loads for your help!

Is there an excess or deductible?
Premium rate is (£30x12) premium / sum insured £12K which is 3% which is reasonable depending on where your based (ie city) and the excess or deductible (the amount you contribute to the loss)
Otherwise get the cover as an extension to your home insurance (personal property for anywhere)
Check out the small print if covered away for the home etc. I did look at Ripe insurance previously anywhere in the UK cover and WW
I pay a little over 1% of the value per annum on mine but don’t live in a high crime area.
I'd check out if you can add it to your home insurance, may save a bit of cash. All mine above £1k in value are listed separately on the home cover (also covered out of the house).
Thanks all - I’m based in London and the excess is £100 so seems reasonable. Still waiting on my home insurance to offer a quote for adding it to that.

In addition, unfortunately governments like using insurance to collect statutory charges and/or taxes which all adds to the total cost.
