What is your First (NYD) and Last Watch (NYE) of the Year? (2023/2022)

Last watch of 2022 and first watch of 2023, my new Seiko Prospex SBBN043 Blue Tuna is both of them. I believe this is my 9th in the variety of Tuna and Tuna-esque designs. And, I think this is the one I may finally settle on. This isn't a new watch.. I think it came out about a year ago. But, like some other watches that have recently been acquired, one that I've thought about for a while and finally made a move to get one.

For me, always imagined a blue on blue Tuna would be my favorite version of this design. The SBBN037 I had might have been it about 2 years ago. But, there were some subtle things that didn't click for me, so I sold it.

Now, about 2+ years later, the SBBN043 is a very welcome addition to my watch collection. REALLY loving it. The bezel action is noticeably refined and improved. Sounds and feels so good. May be the best Seiko bezel action I've ever experienced. And, Tuna lume is maybe the best that Seiko has. It just seems to be the most potent across the huge range of model that use the proprietary Lumibrite.

That's it for now. Happy New Year and may 2023 be a great year for you in all aspects.
