I actually really like a Tuna design in Safari Green

I seem to go around the Tuna merry-go-round quite a bit. I think I've settled on the variation I want to represent a great Tuna design for myself most recently.

While trying to consolidate my watch collection, I feel that my personal favorite Seiko diver design is the Tuna. But, I also really like the particular green tones in my SBDC111 Green Cpt. Willard. So, combining 2 aspects of watches I have/had own(ed), I decided to go back to a 2021 Street Tuna model (sometimes also called the Urban Tunas, I think) with the SBDY075 in Safari Green.

When it first was released, I had passed on this green color variation in favor of the blue version which I also owned before. Now, finally going back and picking up the Safari Green, I'm glad I did. I'll lead on to say the "Street (or Urban) Tunas" in 43mm are both a great size for a larger variety of wrist sizes and great value for often well under $500.

I love this color way. I find it unique for the Tuna design as I can't think of any other Tuna that utilize green other that a limited edition green Gundam version released several years ago. I believe it was part of the Prospex LX line and rather expensive. I believe it was more of a beast at closer to 50mm with 1000m WR and ceramic shroud, etc... Anyways, I can't wait to try many other strap options on it in the near future.

Love the design as well. My arnie fills in the gap.

Love this design a lot. I can’t articulate why… I just love it a lot.

I’ve had this one for about two years, and I absolutely love wearing it. It is usually worn with my first generation Seiko monster bracelet. I think the two go quite well together. This one’s hard to takeoff. Enjoy it!

Looks great on the monster bracelet. If you've watched Average Bros channel on YouTube, he did the same thing with his street tuna.

I already have a strap code endmill bracelet which I've used with this style of tuna before.. have owned 3 others prior to this one. Will likely still use again with this new one I've just acquired.
