How noticeable is the AR coating on your watch crystal?

So I've noticed a quirk with the AR coating on my Pitzmann III, I knew there was a blue tint, but it very apparent and easy to capture on camera under (in)direct natural light but under artifical fluorescent or white LED lighting, the dial looks very white instead.

I'm curious what light wavelengths bring out such strong color in the AR coating 🤔

Indoor lights tend to be a bit warmer so the blue wavelengths would be less intense. I don’t know how AR works at a molecular level but I guess it isn’t impossible that it’s absorbing some energy from UV light outdoors where it reflects blue light. While that’s not impossible I am totally pulling it out of my ass.

That sounds as good an explanation as I can come up with 🤔
