I have an easy reader too, and another weekender. They're not as loud as this one. Lol

The ticking acts as a Power Reserve Indicator. If you hear it from 2 rooms away, 100%. From 1 room away, 50%. No ticking, need a new battery. 😁

I must be hard of hearing. I always hear talk about how Timex watches are so loud. I had to put my son's Timex Expedition right up to my ear before I could hear it, LOL 🤣 I guess I am getting old. 😎

The expedition is quite a bit quieter than the Weekender and Easy Reader.
