Cartier Santos Carree has left the chat

My insatiable watch fever and relative lack of funds has caused my two-tone classic santos carree ref 2961 to be sold.

It’s made way for a burgundy dial octagon with the super cool red ruby cabochon crown.

If someone had told me I’d give up an original square style one for an octagon a little while back I’d have laughed them out of town. But I like the style of it - the red offsetting (or amplifying maybe!) the two toneness of it!

My big issue with the burgundy piece is the lack of markers to tell the time.

I don’t find this such an issue in the round one. I have a burgundy tank and it’s definitely a challenge.
