Hiking with a dive watch

Idk if it's just me, but I love hiking with a dive watch! Here's a pic of me on Pinnicle Mountain in Arkansas!

Blasphemy! Interesting you can take a dive watch hiking but you wouldn’t think of taking a field Watch diving. 😂

Honestly, these days, the number of people who buy a tool watch and actually use it for its intended purpose, is quite small. And there's nothing wrong with that!

Enjoy, as you see fit!

Dive watches are great outdoor watches. You just don’t have to worry about them I mean a field watch like the Hamilton Khaki only has 50m water resistance. You don’t want to fall into one of those hill people cricks in Arkansas with that weak sauce!

If the dive watch on a hike is a problem, I have the solution! Seiko land tortoise. 200m WR on a turtle case, slightly downsized, with a compass bezel. It’s everything you want in a dive watch, but with the appropriate field bezel. Pick your color and put it on a NATO. WINNER!!!

I believe a dive watch is the perfect outdoors watch. When I'm backpacking, there's always a diver on my wrist. In my profile pic I'm wearing a Captain Willard.

I lived in and around Fayetteville for about ten years, and worked for a while out near the Buffalo River area. Absolutely gorgeous up there, and so much to do for an outdoorsman. I loved it. I used to try and get back up there once a year since I moved away, but life has been getting pretty hectic lately.

I mean.. air and water are both fluids so you could say you’re air-diving!
