What are your others out of curiosity? I was basically able to get mine at retail and taxes would have been for a new one.
Long winded response warning!
1.) A no date Sub which is the only watch where I've "registered an interest". I've owned other Subs, including a no-date, but wanted something new to me (rare!), with great lume and no chance of compromised WR. I'm on, and in, the water quite a bit which is a valid reason to avoid another vintage Rolex.
2.) a modern Datejust. Selecting from some great dials has been an obstacle but the Palm-motif is a strong contender along with the brighter colorways.
3.) and a Rolex Cellini Prince 5440, a non-mainstream choice (but often available at ugly pricing). The Prince is one of the few Rolex watches with an exhibition caseback and the finishing on the movement matches the dial, though differently for each precious metal variant.
Perhaps anorher dress watch isn't very practical but the wrist wants what the wrist wants.
I was able to try on the Milgaus which cemented it's place on my list of YOLO desires.
I've learned the hard way that trying on a watch before buying is a must for me especially after discovering that the Sea Dweller I got online looked like a brick on my wrist.
I'm half heartedly holding off on big watch purchases since my wife registered me for the No-Date late last year. With my luck I'd get the call the day after buying one of the other two and I like being happily married.
Some have advised buying the DJ at the AD (if they have one that I love) to enhance the No-Date prospects. I'm not really wired that way but I haven't entirely ruled that out.
Congratulations on nailing down a Milgaus for your collection since they're now DC'd. Yours is the only colorway I'm interested in.

Nice selection, I do not know why but I love the bluesy but would only buy new, I also love the Cellini date with the blue dial.
As for the Milgauss, the one I got is the only color way I considered.

Perfect 👌
Awesome! One of only three Rolex watches I'd buy today at fair market prices then keep forever. 💥💥💥

I do not get why the Cellini line was not more loved. The only thing I can think is lack of marketing.
