Your favorite Seiko Captain Willard
Hi guys,
I'm learning about Seiko Captain Willard, and that's my initial thoughts of my favorite references.
SPB151: A sweet spot of price and specifications. Kind of small Lug to Lug with 46mm.
SLA033: Most faithful to the original. High specifications. High price due to limitation.
SLA051: High specifications. Reasonably priced. grayish dial looking good.
So, my favorite obtainable is SLA051. What's your favorite reference and why?

I love the Willard but my wrist can't take one unfortunately. I do have a slim turtle spb313 and absolutely love it. It's thinner and a bit less girth. I don't think you can go wrong with any Seiko diver in my opinion.
The only one for me is the one that fits my wrist. SPB153

I think that the Steeldive is better quality than the original and it has the Seiko NH35 movement just like the original.

In Mexico, in an official store, a Prospex doesn't go below $1,800.00 (US dollars) with a 15% discount applied...watches that a few years ago we bought for $400.00-$600.00 dollars.

I love the brand! But I can't find any justification for their price increases. You cannot justify tripling the price of a watch if you upgrade the mineral crystal to a sapphire crystal or add a ceramic bezel. In some cases, that doesn't even happen! The price rises without any change.

I wonder what their export taxes are. That may be a factor. I don't think it would cause that much of an increase though. Some but not what they are wanting.

My price comparison is with official stores in the country. A watch that I used to get here for $600.00 dollars, today I can get it for $1,800.00 dollars...absurd!
Personally I like the 46mm lug to lug but any Willard would look great on you Faisal.👑🏞
