5 Alpinists (8 Seikos)

Firstly, this is not a post to flex. I chose to build an Alpinist collection rather than buy a Tudor or similar.

SPJ197J1 is the latest. So I now have 2 Compass Alpinists, 2 1959 Reinterpretation Alpinists and 1 Baby Alpinist (perhaps I am missing the blue version to balance....). And you see that I like experimenting with straps!

In my humble opinion these are excellent GADA watches and I recommend to all.

Great stuff! I'm actually wearing my Red Alpinist from the 90s today, and agree that they are super versatile!

That being said, out of all 8 that 63 MAS at the back calls to me the most! My only (minor) complaint with it was that, like most seiko divers, it's missing the hash marks at the 10s, so the new ones that were just announced have me frothing!

Out of curiosity, which would you say is your favourite out of all 8, or alternatively if you can't pick, which gets the most wear?

Depends what I am doing on the day! Hiking/Skiing = one on an Erika's or Tropic Strap, wearing a suit and cufflinks = one on a leather strap, wearing a casual shirt = one on a bracelet
