I'm deeply ambivalent about MB&F's aesthetics but you can't deny that they're interesting. And from a watchmaking perspective they're down right fascinating.
Their latest iteration of the Legacy Machine though, it's almost conservative with its onyx dial and rose gold case. It almost pulls off the same asymmetrical old world charm of AL and S or Journe โฆ almost.
And at 38.5mm X 20mm it seems like it might even be completely wearable.
And if that's not the best automatic winding rotor ๐ผ I've ever seen โฆ
There's an article here:

... that explains the tech (and everything else) way better than I could.

Personally I think they're proper fugly, but I can very much appreciate the engineering that goes into them .
For me a watches aesthetics should be dictated by function - haute horology crosses the line into jewellery which ain't my thing.
Clever tho ๐๐๐ป

Yeah. Well said.
And I agree. This one is (at least imho) markedly more palatable than their usual offerings but it ain't really my thing.
My dress watch is a Serica 4512-TXD which probably speaks volumes about my aesthetic, but I'd love to check it out in person.
At ~ $115k it wasn't as pricey as I expected either.
I've never been a fan of the brand.
Technically impressive ugly watches intended as toys for the uber wealthy. I'm sure owners of such trinkets don't know a pallet fork from a pitch fork.
Crazy cool.
Iโd love for Max to create some creative watches in the Rolex price range, that could be a nice grail for mere mortals.
Iโm an happy owner of a MAD1 green, took several lotteries but finally won one. If a watch makes you smile, itโs a keeper !
