Rolex Oyster Perpetual “Bubbleback”. From the mid 1940’s. Found this in a drawer after Grandpa died. The watch head was in excellent condition with just a nick on the crown but the bottom strap was missing and the top strap was torn in two! It still keeps perfect time and has the original crystal (which colors the dial yellow with its age). I think maybe Grandpa got it from Grandma for their wedding then promptly had an accident with it and threw it in a drawer as a keepsake. Or maybe he just babied it as a dress watch?
