Happy Friday! I have been eyeballing a lot of salmon dials recently & before I went & spent the big bucks on one, I decided to try out the Pierre Paulin model. This watch can be found for around $119 on AliExpress, I found a good deal on a brand new one on eBay for $100 & bit the bullet. I have had it for about 2 weeks & I can confirm I definitely like & enjoy the look of salmon dials on the wrist, below are some of my takeaways:
It is not a bad watch at all for the price, movement does not bother me & the winding mechanism is solid in my experience
Strap is comfortable & looks nice, but probably will not last long
I like having a salmon dial in my collection for a nice change of pace, looking to upgrade from this to the Baltic or Farer , & maybe one day the Longines Master Collection piece.
I also bought 3 tweed straps off of Temu for $20, which was also my first Temu purchase. I have been trying the watch out on those straps, one is more brown (pictured on wrist), then a green, & blue option. Not sure which one looks best, but for $20 I am very happy with the quality of all 3.
Have a great weekend! If you have any opinions/suggestions for a salmon dial watch please let me know.

Yeah that tweed looks great. I love a depth of texture texture on a watch strap. Cool piece thanks for sharing.

You bet. I have mainly gone from strap to bracelet or vice versa, so it was fun to mess around with these straps. I saw a number of “Harris Tweed” straps from Vario & Etsy at $40 a piece and I’m pretty sure these are from the same factory. I do not have the lighting & cameras that they do, but at $6.67 shipped they are doing a huge markup
Holy smokes. What a steal!

For sure! Happy to see you bought & Scameti & jealous of that Tudor
Looking dapper. All you need now is a jacket with elbow pads and a pipe. In all seriousness tho, I've been looking for a nice Douglas plaid strap recently. I'll have to check out Temu. Thanks for the info.
Appreciate that, lol a pipe might be a good replacement for the Juul these days. It took me awhile to find them on Temu, below is the non-affiliate link I used
