What is the time?

Say you're out and about and someone approaches you and asks you for the time. How would you respond? Would you go old school and say "10 to 12", rounded it to "quarter till 12", do the analog to digital conversion and say 11:50. How did you come by that time? Did you look at the hour hand before the minute or the other way around. Either way it might not be as easy to tell somebody the time now that I've thrown all these variables at you. You'll be spending some bit of time thinking about it. Unless,"Hey, it's time for lunch."

I'm a "10 to 12" kind of bloke so old school for sure. I wouldn't round up or down if some one was asking me the time.

I'm kind of precise in general so I give the exact time. "It's three thirty seven."

The last time someone asked me the time was a year ago, and even then it was an older person who asked. I usually round up to the next 5 and say eleven fifty, one thirty, ten oh five. I do this even though I tend to wear digitals.
