Citizen ny0040

Hello all,

Anyone else wearing one of these?

What do you think of these watches?

Do you think it suits a more dressed up enviroment?

The NY0040 series is what the SKX wanted to be when it grew up. Most underrated dive watch out there. Have owned the full lume, black and blue dials. One of the most striking black dials short of the Sinn 556 and the blue dial was difficult to let go.

I've been debating strongly about getting one of those for a few months now. Never heard anyone say anything significantly negative about one yet.

Wearing the blue dial version regularly, prefer it over my seiko 5kx

I own the NY0040 and the SKX. I especially like the beautiful dial and the smaller size of the NY, plus it's got hand winding. Its only weakness is the lume, at least compared to the SKX. At the end of the day, both watches are equally awesome. Get one and see it for yourself 😉

What a beauty! One of my top favorites, a keeper forever 😄

Ridiculous value for money, thats why Citizen have carried on making them but upgraded the movement, Seiko scored a home goal here with the stupid decision to discontinue the SKX  and replace with the crappy 5kx, perhaps it shows what Seiko have become by all the “limited edition” offerings to rip their followers off, and citizen listen to their customers in a shrewd way.
