My wife thinks I'm addicted, but as a loving wife she indulges my habit. The beauty of watches is it combines art, science, and engineering to symbolize an irreplaceable commodity, time. I love the elegant simplicity of horology that conveys the complexity of time.

Collection is looking good. As for addiction, sure watch collecting is an addiction, but so are lots of other things. Like everything else, as long as you’re staying within your means and not neglecting other responsibilities, what’s the harm? Just point out to your wife that your second choice was heroin and you’d be happy to take that up if she really objects to watches.
LOL. Not soon enough. I tend to do their wheel on occasion when I see a level one watch I like.
How do you choose which watch to wear? I have 8 watches, and it is a minute or two for me to decide.
Be wary of a wife that does mind a watch addiction. There are so many things much worse to do with free time and money. And let's be honest, there is no such thing as a cheap hobby. I have 3 hobbies/vices in my life. Bicycles, guns, and watches. Nothing fun is free.
