The strap is not very great, but the watch is! Its one of my oldest watches, and its still my favorite. But i'd really recommend switching that strap, especially for smaller wrists. I tried breaking it in for a month and didnt have much success.

Yeah def feeling a little stiff and I’m not used to a clasp on leather either. Not toooo uncomfortable for now but sometimes the stiffness makes the lugs protrude in a weird way. Any recs on strap pairings? The 21mm is a little annoying 😑

Barton's rubber is nice, but I think I've come to like a brown leather for mine. Strapsco straps makes a 21, but right now I have a ritchie strap, seems higher quality than strapsco. 21 is a pain for sure.
Has anyone tried soaking the leather strap in hot warer then putting the watch onand see if it will conform to the wrist? I’ve heard of a trick like that with work boots
I have five Orients and would not trade them for the world. I do however swap the OEM straps out, they just don't do it for me. Other than that, what more can be said about this storied brand of watch mofos?

Hell yeah! I’ve also got 5 😂just such good value to pass up. I agree the original straps are kinda trash but honestly I like that they skimp on that to make the watch better!

After using it a bit the band conformed to my wrist quite nicely I find it very comfortable and it’s holding up well
