Elliot bracket clock
Picked this up last week from the shop, after it's 5 month stay😱
Rudely awoken at 5am by its loud chimes.
The clock is designed to stop chiming between the hours of 23:00 to 07:00 to allow for some sleep👍
So I rang the shop, profuse apologies, said he should have been more careful.
Then he offered to come to my house to correct the error.
Foolishly I declined as I am going to the town on Saturday.
I've shot myself in the foot somewhat, as I would have had the opportunity to spectate and talk all things horology. Oh well 🙄
Although it is annoying to have the problem, it is something else to have the offer of a home visit. 😊

I have that clocks sibling or possibly cousin and mine too has been misbehaving. The first repair guy I took it to “fixed it” but it only stayed fixed for a month or so. I’m now hunting for a new clock repair man. They are few and far between in rural Northern California.
