The story of my watch collecting. Part 10.

I am almost close to the end of my story, or rather to my current state of affairs.

It's amazing how views change over time. This happened to me in relation to the Panerai brand. I think many people have read the articles of Perezcope, which simply destroyed the Panerai, if you haven't read it, then I highly recommend!

For a while I was the number 1 hater of this brand, but over time I became calmer about their lies and began to look at this watch as a certain style, unlike others.

The need for another watch arose for me due to the fact that it is difficult to travel with a Submariner, since it need to be declared at customs when leaving the country, not to mention the fact that every self-respecting thief wants to steal a Rolex. Of course, I can take Seiko 5 with me, but I wanted something more premium.

So I justified the next purchase for myself and it became Panerai Radiomir.

Initially, I wanted a Luminor with a bracket, which is a distinctive feature of Panerai, but all the models that I like were 44mm. The fact is that Radiomir 45mm, due to the length of the ears, seems smaller than Luminor 44mm.

I understand that the Radiomir does not fit perfectly on my hand, but the fit is quite comfortable and by design, the Panerai should be large.

The PAM380 is not a true Panerai, as it does not have a sandwich, despite this, I really liked them. The manual winding is fine, the Unitas caliber is simple and reliable, the lume is bright and long-lasting. All this fun for $3000.

They have been with me for two months now, this is not my favorite watch, I don't wear them every day, they are huge, but they definitely have magic and style.

The magic of Panerai. It's hard to understand until you put it on.

May I suggest that not all Panerai are difficult to wear comfortably . I think the look and build quality of some of the early models are where I would spend my money. Here are three that while bring large all wear well on my 71/4 inch wrist.

Panerai is one of those brands that you can recognize, by its design, on a wrist from a reasonable distance.
