1952 Omega Seamaster, bumper auto with a thick solid 14k yellow gold cap over stainless steel. This was one of my very first project watches, bought a quarter of a century ago on eBay. The original owner had worn this almost to death, like the original GADA the Seamaster was in those days (the Rolex Explorer had yet to be launched). My watchmaker (Matt Becher, TheWatchTech.com) was somehow able to get it running and arranged for a refinished dial (which was totally justified as the dial had already been refinished, as was customary, years before). 25 years after receiving its second lease on life and it still keeps good time :)
