Skydomes sapphires were awesome, they added a profile like no other. Unfortunately those beauties only had a short manufacturer's run, which only adds to the flavor and uniqueness of every watch one of one.........🦈

Pretty hard to ruin sapphires. They are Corundum. The only thing can even scratch it is diamond......🦈

It's a cool look. I had a watch back in the 90s that had a huge plastic dome crystal that looked like something out of a sci-fi flick. It was a novelty watch that wasn't built to last. This, on the other hand, is funky and legit.
