I have been obsessing over the dial of this Baby Tuna/Shrouded Monster since before I even pulled the trigger on it. It has been on my wrist for a couple of weeks now and the way the dial reflects the light is very pleasing and constantly changing 👇
So, inspired by @casiodean’s epic back garden water testing post, and in the interest of science, I thought I’d drag out a digital microscope that was a Christmas gift, throw the Tuna/Monster hybrid under, it and take a closer look 👀 👇
As you can clearly see Seiko use ACTUAL frost to make these dials. There you are, mystery solved. Science 👍

I think you can get one without the screen for about £20. You just plug it into your phone. To be honest it probably better to capture it straight to your phone if you just want stills.

Seiko took an actual tuna, froze it, then skinned it using lasers, and formed it into a dial 🤣
