Been collecting watches for at least 9 years. More a "what I love" versus prestige kind of collector. I can't see just owning 3 or 4 very expensive watches that I'd be afraid to actually wear. I fall in love with different watches too often for that. Though recently I shrunk my collection from 45 watches to 22 which is where I will try to maintain. I mostly collect in 2's per brand. Though I have broken that rule with Seiko, Casio (all Squares) and Longines where I have 3 from each. The 3 Casio are my only Solar/Quartz/Battery watches. Most my watches sit in the $2000 to $7000 range. Right now I have Hamilton, Longines, Omega, Seiko, Grand Seiko, Tudor, JeanRichards(two with the inhouse JR1000 movement that I love and won't sell even though GP and Kering gave up on them) and Squale... I also have 3 vintage watches... a Girard-Perregaux Gyromatic HF and two pre-Swatch Certina, a DS-2 from 60's and DS-4 from the 70's.
