Steeldive 1970 day today. The kind of cheap simple reliable dive watch that Seiko should make for us today, and USED to make, and just can’t be bothered to anymore!

The bad joke is this watch has a Seiko movement in it. Not a knock off like some people here say, not a Chinese fake movement. A Seiko industries (Sii) movement and it’s less than $100. Seriously, make one for $200. Improve the finishing quality. It’s doable. They just don’t care.

I know this has been beaten to death but why can this have a Seiko movement, a sapphire crystal, and a ceramic bezel insert and cost about as much as a dive strap does for a “real” Seiko?
