University Graduation gift ideas

My brother recently graduated university and as a congrats/well done pressie, I thought I’d force a watch upon him, with hopes to bring him over to our side of the train tracks.
looking at a budget of 300-350 USD, I wanted to ask the people what they would recommend. A few watches come to mind but please share what you might have gifted in the past!
For my Aussie friends here, if you can recommend me some good websites/places I can check online to browse some watches, that would be helpful. I’ve lost touch with the Aussie market and don’t know where to look anymore 🤦♂️

Hey @Clee1593815, congrats on your brother!
In my experience, mechanical watches are a BAD present for 99.99999% of the human population. "Normal" people are usually pragmatic with these objects and mechanical watches are delicate, setup is an extra "chore", are imprecise, etc, etc...
So, first of all, does your brother like mechanical watches or are you gifting him with a little daily curse?
If you imagine that quarts are a better choice, I can suggest 2 options:
Seiko Dolce - It uses an 8J high-accuracy quartz movement, the same that once was used in the Grand Seiko line. I own one and I can direct recommend this

Another option is the Sternglas quartz line, like the Naos white
In case he prefers mechanical you can choose the same Sternglas with a different movement.
Start him out with a basic! Casio F91W. Theres many different style and colors.
