My eighteenth watch
I loved the Fortis F-41 & F-39 as soon as I saw them. And I’ve been wanting a Flieger-y watch for a while. Then the midnight blue versions came out and only made me want them more. So, bless my boyfriend who got me this for my last birthday!
It’s gorgeous. Big, to be sure, but it still wears fine on my 7.5” wrist. I got the leather strap version, but am considering getting the bracelet (though, $500 seems like a big ask for a stainless bracelet). But the color choices are great - I love how many shades the dial goes through depending on the light. The oranges are bright and blue & orange is a favored contrast for me. My only concern is AR coating being on the outside of the sapphire crystal. It may not be that much of an issue as it’s the first watch I’ve had with the coating also on the outside - the bezel angling above the crystal will help some, as well. My favorite part is that the 13 date is orange, where the rest are white. I’m a nerd. But it’s a great watch and I love it so.
