The Mathey-Tissot & AMWG MT369 is not the fanciest that I own but it's still one of the most liked due to its size and being the only 50's Air King Explorer homage that I know of.
I was actually a bit surprised to stumble across this on Instagram. My scrawny wrist loves the 34mm size. Another option is a 1990s Orient Star 597302-70. It's not a strict homage, but the inspiration seems pretty clear. Although mine has a white dial with gold markers, black dial / silver marker versions are readily available, e.g. on eBay, for around $200.
I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.
