Steinhart tax question

Hello all,

I would like to purchase a Steinhart watch but want to verify the tax before I do. On Steinhart's website the price includes a 19% tax. As an American do I pay that tax? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Thanks!

I bought a Steinhart a few months ago. I was charged the “without tax” price, plus a €25 shipping fee. Shipped to the US. No other charges.

Thank you!

How has the watch held up?

The Steinhart has been great. Reliable and very accurate. I have the Ocean 39mm. The only small complaints I have about mine are the bezel is a bit stiff to turn, and the clasp also requires a bit too much force to snap in and out of place. So far, it appears to be a very well built, high quality watch.

Thank you for the quick response!

I think I will get one!

There is no "Value Added Tax" (VAT) on products purchased by consumers in non-EURO countries. The exception to this rule is a purchased made in person in a EURO nation. In that case, the VAT is added to the price but it can be refunded by applying for that refund and proving the purchaser is not a resident of a EURO nation.
