Gevril - a sht brand?
Recently came across a Gevril Fleiger Chrono that looked one to one like an IWC. I thought it was a generic IWC Pilot Chrono's look that many other cos make and didn't think much of it. But then I looked at other Gevrils and realized that most of the designs are lifted off other brands. What say you? Are they a purely rip off the design homage brand? Or is there any respect in their behavior?

I thought they were a Swiss brand with heritage. Not sure they can be characterized as a "shit brand," even if their current offerings are derivative. I'm going to have to do some research.

Derivative is alpine eagle to nautilus, Maurice Lacroix aiken and baume mercier riviera to royal oak. Gevrils seemed to me like one-to-one copies.
