As long as I can remember as a kid, one detail about my father that stuck with me is his Rolex. A datejust twotone. I remember playing with the bracelet, wearing it and pretending to be a grown up like him.
As times goes by, I always wear a watch but never really put much thought into it. Not yet fall into the horology of it, more like a fashion piece for me. As the pandemic hits, with a whole lot of time browsing the web, I started to stumble into this horology hobby. I started to collect some of the time piece that speaks to me.
And now, looking back, maybe my interest for watches started way back when I played with my father watch. And as my own daughters now also like to play with my watches collection, I feel kinda nostalgic and can’t help but wonder if my daughters gonna have some memories about their dad and his watches. Like me and my father.
So I took this pic, combination of his watch and mine. Two totally different style of watches, for the memory of him and our love for watches.
