Watches in Science Fiction - The Voyagers and Phineas Bogg’s “Omni”

Anybody else remember “The Voyagers” TV Show and Phineas Bogg’s “Omni” time travel device, which was basically a pocket-watch?

My first watch was a loaner hand-me down Mickey Mouse watch, followed by the first watch that was all mine, which was an Armitron digital from K-Mart. Outside those pieces and my dad collecting watches and clocks, I remember the short-lived show “The Voyagers” TV show as having a big influence on loving watches and time as a kid. Phineas Bogg’s pocket watch (the Omni) was their key to time travel and solving history’s problems. I need to find this to stream somewhere.

”If you want to learn more about watches, time travel, and 1980s Generation X nostalgia, take a voyage down to your public library. It's all in books!”

Yes I remember that short lived series, I used to love it. I read somewhere that the Phineas actor died tragically in an accidental prop gun discharge on a TV series set. I always wanted that omni gadget when I was a kid.

He did. About a year or two after “The Voyagers.” Such a shame.
