Strap for long lugs

I tried to put a two piece Barton leather strap (i.e. not a NATO strap) on my Hamilton Khaki Mechanical to try to dress it up a bit. But because of the long lugs, there are significant gaps between the ends of the strap and the case. I hate that look. Can anyone recommend a strap that solves this gap problem by say having material beyond where the pin goes through?

The only 2 solutions I can think if is go custom or stick with a single pass (nato, perlon, etc.)
