Louis Erard, who’s a fan?

So I’ve owned mine for these last 4 years and bought it pre owned but it was like new when I got it. Bought from a very reputable dealer in Pennsylvania. It’s my only “dress” watch I own. Main reason I like it is way the dial is laid out. Silver sunray dial, gmt at 6 position and big date at 12. But Erard also does collaborations with people like Alain Silberstein and a few others. They are a smaller Swiss brand with lots of history, starting in 1931. I think their prices start just under 2K and go up. So if you’re just starting out collecting or simply want a lot of Swiss made bang for your buck then check them out.

Side note, they don’t make their own movements, many are either Sellita or ETA, but they do make their own complications.

Louis Erard is the brand that confuses me most. If you look at some of their older stuff that you can buy at sub $1.5k, it will absolutely blow you away. So much respect for their brand and what they do at their price.

Oh, I love this brand. Superb build quality. Only let down by the Sellita movement. I prefer ETA, any time.
