Affordable Pilot Chronograph

It's summer and it was time for a new budget chronograph.

That's how the AVI-8 Hawker Typhoon got me and I finally got it.

As most people know, AVI-8 is known for creating watches in the design of old aircraft icons or dedicating a model to a well-known aviation personality. So also here.

The Hawker Typhoon was a powerful, strong ground attack aircraft that restored balance to mainland Europe during World War II.

Accordingly, the dial is strongly based on an old cockpit. Thus, we find 4 sub dials on the dial, which are nicely set off or "inset" and while there is really a lot on the dial, it`s always super readable and you don't get lost on the dial. The hands are concise and yet unobtrusive.

The watch presents the dial with a 40 mm diameter and 48mm lug to lug.

Anything less than 50mm lug to lug I feel is very wearable for people with wrists less than 17cm.

It has a 22mm bracelet and 50m WR. So very typical.

The crown is a pull out one and has a good grip.

About the crown, you can set the Japan. Quartz movement put.

The pusher and crown are appropriate for the price and fully justifiable.

At the same time, I would also note the pushers as a potential negative aspect. Regarding the price range of the watch they are super fine , but I personally likemy pushers with a little higher quality.

But here again - in the price range, the quality is good compared to other watches.

Also, the watch is relatively high at 13.5mm. Here we have a quartz movement in it, so I think it could have been possible to make it slimmer.

In general, the watch is well made for the price of the watch and it is a lot of fun on the wrist, because it is comfortable to wear and is easy to read. The supposed negative aspects are subjective and are in doubt by someone else also felt quite differently.

What do you think of the watch ?

The most significant issue for me is the oversized numerals 10-50. Otherwise, it seems like a fine watch.

They looks fine, but kinda wish they were smaller
