A Watch for Special Events โ€“ Unboxing a Grail Pen and a ๐ŸŽ„ Merry Christmas to You ๐ŸŽ„

In my family this Christmas was not a watch event but a fountain pen event, the non-watch side of our collections.

After his accident, which shattered the crystal of his Citizen, my 14-year-old decided to wear his Casio AE-1000 as everyday watch and the repaired Citizen only on special events.

On Christmas Eve he wore his Citizen. If you look closely you can see it protruding from underneath his sleeve. He also had it on the wrist while editing the unboxing video.

I guess that he rightfully considers all of this to be a special event so that he wears his Citizen. He has two collectibles in which he put own money and work, now, although the fountain pen needed support from the family by Christmas gifts.

Great video and of course the pen looks fantastic in every way. Great that the Citizen is back up and running and enjoyed the video, the pen seems to write brilliantly. Congratulations to Andreas Jnr for attaining one of his grails.

Indeed it writes as brilliantly as you would reasonably expect from a fountain pen with an undiscounted MSRP north of 1000โ‚ฌ and an individual tracking number from a long standing company. I had the honour that he let me try it out.

I am sure he will get many many years of writing pleasure out of it, and of course the memories.
