Apparently… I failed 🤡

Just tested Brasso in the back case of this Fossil with a rotary machine and a “polishing wheel” that came in the kit with the rotary machine…nope ☠️,…

It was not cotton, not wool, I don’t know what material the “polishing wheel” are made 😮‍💨

I don’t have much experience polishing either. There may be some informational videos on YouTube?

Correct me if I am wrong but Brasso is more of a cleaning agent so it won't be fine enough to actually achieve the kind of polishing you need.

Maybe you should try some fine polishing paste instead.

This is what I use. Make sure that your rotary tool has adjustable speed too. If you don't have the proper rpms that can cause scratches too. Even if you have the right wheel.

You are right, it is more for cleaning porposes, I was curious this time and messed up 🥴

That's not a fail, that's all part of the first step in ridding your watch of scratches. Clearly you needn't have used something as abrasive as you did but nothing that can't be fixed easily. 👍
