NEW SERICA 5303

Hey guys curious on your thoughts of the new addition to the Serica 5303 family with the "midnight blue dial" I think this will definetly appeal to the fans of the ghost dial divers

and current owners thoughts and experience with the Serica 5303 would be welcomed

Love the look of that. 2mm smaller and it would be mine!

I really do like Serica Watches, specially the time and effort they put into their devellopement. But this colour way is just a tad overly done. It say's: "I'm a wanna be Vintage fadded Marine National diver". Sorry. The white and black was good enough 👍.

Love the new color scheme!  But I have to be honest, I was not impressed with the fit and finish of the 5303 in the metal.

Haven't had the opportunity to see it in person but you aren't the only one to mention this, there have been also comments regarding the unreliability of the newton movement (time keeping and jumping second hand) plus issues with the crown makes this competitive prices tough to swallow

I agree somewhat and its clear what they are going for but the question is what are the other options, with new models its pretty difficult to get this effect and buying vintage models has some downsides (desirable patinas come with a hefty price) and doesnt guarantee other factors such as time keeping general condition etc, I like the colour from faded bezels but is it worth the crazy premium not rn at least

This is a nice alternative but im not sure if i will go for it either

Hi Max

Can you share more about the fit and finish?  Any insight on how it compares to say a micro like Baltic Aquascaphe or a similarl priced Seiko SPB143J?

I would love it if someone here has this and posts real life photos and wrist shots! 🙏🏻

@Max what in particular didnt impress? Just discovered this brand and gotta admit the design of the diver and field watches are tempting. But like to figure out what im getting into first as im a bit of a stickler for detail!
