Plan for next watch acquisition

I decided that once I filled my 10-watch box, all future watch acquisitions would have to come by selling from within the collection.

So, I'm selling the Timex Q Chrono, Seiko 5, and vintage Seiko Digital in the (far-fetched?) hope of raising enough for a Lorier Zephyr in white. I plan to put it on a blue suede or leather strap with contrast stitching. I want the Zephyr to be a dress-down casual piece.

I'm slightly worried that Lorier will release an improved second iteration of the Zephyr (hand-wound movement?) as soon as I place the order.

Just sharing. Any thoughts/opinions are welcomed.

Yeah, that's the one I'm struggling with. It's just not getting the wrist time any more though.

Good luck with your dilemma 🤔

It has been silent since the release of the Hydra Zulu, maybe they are cooking up something new. But since the development of a new or improved watch design takes a lot of time, you’ll never know. The Zephir is a beautiful watch. If you’re ok with the specs rn then it is ok to buy it rn. All tech products are getting older from the day of release. So it is inevitable for a product to be improved and the other one to get older.

I’ve got the white dial Zephyr, and I don’t think Lorier will change the movement. It is already very thin, slips under cuffs easily, and the cost would likely be too high for them to change to manual wind IMHO. 🤔

Keep the digital Seiko, less likely Seiko will make the same style of digital only.
