The underrated & very beautiful GP Laureato

This 42mm watch is extremely beautiful, it's sad to see that it doesn't get the attention and interest it deserves.

What are your thoughts on this watch ? Do you own it or would be interested in purchasing it ? PS: For me the Green or Blue would be a definate addition to my collection in the near future.

It is hard for a 15k watch to be underrated I think 😂

I don’t pay too much attention to watches I know I can’t afford, 15K nope

As compared to watches within its price range it is quite underrated, seems to be overlooked by many who are willing to spend this much on a watch :)

They’re cool to see on the Aston Martin F1 team. I feel like you’d need to be a big fan of the Laureato to buy one at retail. I’ve never actually seen one but I get the appeal. Sadly it’s got a bit of a rep as the “we have the Royal Oak at home” watch. I’ll hold my hand up and say my BB36 was very much the “we have the Explorer at home” watch. I’ve come around on that though. I think it’s got a far nicer submariner dial and nicer snowflake hands.

Much in the same way here, I bet whoever buys these can tell me exactly why they prefer it to the Royal Oak.

If anything, I’m glad we have this much choice at least!

I'm a proud owner of the blue dial version and I absolutely love it. One thing I can tell you about this watch is that you actually "get it" once you put it on your wrist. It fits like a damn glove! The date window numerals are also very well executed. The size is perfect, the bracelet is fantastic. Definitely grab one of these pre-owned. Federico is a big fan of this brand and has been for as long as I can remember.

I don't think they're underated. I just can't afford it, that's all

I own the blue dial version and it is just as comfortable to wear it as it is a joy to look at this beauty. I am a sucker for sport steel watch designs from the 70ies (AP Royal Oak, GP Laureato, IWC Ingenieur SL, PP Nautilus, VC 222) and within this peer group the Laureato is certainly very much underrated. And to be honest, I am quite happy about this as it means you can walk in to an AD and buy it at retail price or even with a discount - something unheard of fpr the likes of Nautilus or Royal Oak. Aside of this the Design of the Laureato is sublime, I really like this watch.
