Strap hunting

In a span of 11months since I started my watch collecting journey, I have already obtained 5 watches minus the Tissot PRX quartz that is not included on this pic. I really need to take a pause and stop that itch to purchase for that next watch and control myself. So I decided to go strap hunting which is way cheaper alternative than buying another one. I really had fun by just looking at a wide variety of nato, leather and rubber straps. This was my first time doing it and it really changes the overall look of the watches that I own and felt like a new watch to me.

What other ways do you trick yourself in order for you to stop buying that next watch?

That's a great collection already. I like your selection of watches, the Hamilton is currently on my short list. Definitely a lot to play with strap changes.

Changing the variety of straps is an excellent way. If not I put some watches in the "🛒 " for at least a month before buying. Many times the urge to buy will disappear or really fade away. Unless the price really goes down for that watch.

Haha fair play! I don't mind getting 3 awesome casio watches delivered. What are you getting?

Thanks! Hope you get your Hamilton soon! You won't regret it. I really like the feel of the ruggedness putting it on a nato strap.

Let me try this approach! The ones that always gets me are those random mall visits and you get to try the watch you like and you just made a purchase on the fly ugh...

I try to avoid wearing or trying random watches. And frankly unless I read alot of reviews or see alot of videos to have many different stories or opinions I go slow. It never occurred to me to see a watch I've never heard of before and I have my own specific things to look at for a watch. Knowing more about my tastes in watches helps me I think. It eliminates so much watches.

I know the size I prefer the look I prefer at a moment so this helps me compulives buy. Maybe do a list of all the things that aren't for you and a list that makes a watch good for you.

After try to stay in those exact perimeters. When I'm looking for a dress watch for instance I really focus only on them and the color size style dials I want etc. Hope this can help although this is very personal to each. Cheers!
