NWA: A beater/adventure watch

I had told myself at some point I'd own a Seiko but I must have gone through its catalogue a hundred times without something that really jumps out at me. Maybe the Alpinist? Or the Land Navigator? Or how about an MAS 62 re-issue?

Then one day I randomly saw someone posting the SRPF81K1 on Instagram and I thought that looks interesting. I dug a bit further and found this earlier SRPE29K1 "Baby Tuna" Urban Safari model (released in 2020?) but not much info about it except this review that pushed me over the edge.

I really dig the two-tone bezel of this model, the ruggedness of the tuna design, and the short lug to lug despite the case size. Plus it doesn't hurt that I love khaki colours. I'd call this my beater/adventure watch to remind myself to go out and have a little fun! Happy Friday everyone!
