Is anyone familiar with this Tissot and what do you think about off center dials ?

I’ve been looking into this piece because of how unique ( for this price point at least ) is the dial , my one gripe with this is that the dial itself doesn’t have different textures or anything else going on so it might look too plain . Also what do you think would be a fair price for a piece like this , there’s not many for sale right now, originally they were being sold for around $900 but since then the price has come down to half that if you can find that online . What would you pay for it

Not a fan, kind of looks like a discount Lange 1. I generally like Tissot, but the proportions of this one seem off. The Lange 1 works cuz of the use of the golden ratio/fibonnaci in its design and I don't think Tissot nailed the ratio quite right (probably by design so as to "homage" rather than straight copy).

Asymmetrical dials are hard to pull off successfully. Not a huge fan of this one as the dial has large negative space in the lower half that does not exist on some more successful asymmetrical dial watches like the Lange 1, Glashütte Original Panoreserve etc. Sorry if this isn’t helpful in this price range, but have you looked at the Baltic MR-01? Beautifully made dress watch in this price range, and the dial is very unique with asymmetrical small seconds, but here it really works imo.

Not my cup of tea, would even turn down an ALS tbh, - even a 3 o'clock date bothers me because of the symmetry 🤣

Hmm, confuses me, looks like a regulator style but isn't. I'll give that a miss.

Dang , that seems to be the consensus . It looks better on the wrist maybe I should have included a picture of that but I can see what you’re mentioning

It's odd - Hamilton do a regulator model so with Tissot being part of the same group you think they could have got their heads together and done a proper job!

Yes ! I’ve seen it but I don’t think they wanted to do a regulator style watch tbh , I think they tried to do something different and put a “ Lange like “ look at a more affordable price but it might not quite worked out exactly like they wanted

When Tissot release this model. It’s their own interpretation of A. Lange & Sohne model is Lange 1👍
