A piece-unique

Just before the war broke loose between Russia and Ukraine, which obviously I had no clue was coming, I picked this one up from eBay. Boctok Prestige Small Seconds Driver, 581098.

The things that caught my eye are the dial and the fact that this watch looks unlike any other Boctok I've seen. I mean it's a dressy driver's watch not a clunky, don't get me wrong cause I love my Komandirskie, diver's watch or one that's supposed to be worn on board of a submarine.

As a result of the war, based on the amount of questions I've had about this one I think many people are actually interested, I'm one of the lucky few to have one.

So for a little over $100 I almost have a piece unique. Until now I haven't seen anybody else in real life or online with this watch, nor anything like it.

Did anything like this ever happen to you?

What do you think of the watch?

Am I wrong to like it so much, seeing where it came from?

Looking forward to reading your comments.

Oh, come on. You can't be wrong for liking something that comes from Russia. Some of my favorite music comes from Russia and a war made by some mad men is not going to change that.

It is a beautiful watch!

I have two modern Russia made Vostok watches. I simply only wear my Soviet onens now. I’ll start wearing them again when this war is over Or when Putin is under 6 feet of earth.

Mine were coming right from Moscow. The site is still up. soviet.market. Fast sellers, good communication. I'm hoping if the war ever ends they will still be around.
