The original reason why I like mechanical watches is they can run without a battery. It took me a while to figure out how it works technically.

I prefer the watch with a display case back before I get into the tool watches world. Later on, I found there are skeletonized watches that can display the movement parts more clearly. However, skeletonized watches are always super expensive. Until I found this. A simple white dial skeletonized DIY watch!

That's an interesting design! How was the building process?
