I saw a meme about it, but unless this effects my usual budget price point it's just more abstract than the different types of mechanical chronograph movements. Actually, the mechanics are really interesting!
I can’t add any insight as to whether the luxury watch market is cooling, but if so watch currency exchange rates. And while I doubt very many watch enthusiasts/collectors build their travel around currency fluctuations, it may Be a very good time to combine a “cooling off period” in luxury watches with travel to the UK, GDR, JPN and others. Generally speaking most travelers don't make their travel plans based on exchange rates, the U.S. dollar's strength vis-a-vis the euro and Japanese yen can help make visits to Europe and Japan more affordable than they'd otherwise be, compared to exchange rates a few years ago. So, if you’ve been brow-raking over that coveted Sinn, Grand Seiko, Panerai etc etc, maybe book a trip soon!
