114060 the pinnacle of Sub?

I’m biased of course but I just love the maxi-case fat-lug 114060. In fact I prefer it to the 12 series, do you?

I’ll admit I’m swept away by any 2-liner I see online, and in the metal I wonder if I’d prefer it? But the 11 just hits right, for me anyway.

For me, the fat lug, maxi-case is where Rolex started to go wrong.

Give me a 14060M over this any day.

2 liner 14060m for me is 👌.

Maxi case is where Rolex IMHO went away from their tool watch beginnings & into jewellery (not saying they don’t produce great watches).

I actually prefer the maxi case OPs 36mm as they have a better shape.

2 liner ND, that's the one for me 🔥

This said , I think that the Ginault OR2 ND with less text should have been the best of the sub release combining all the best features in one model. If Rolex release a sub with the 5 digit case, the maxi dial , the milsub hands, the sea dweller ceramic insert, 2 liner, and the sexy blue lume... That would be a home run !

I also prefer 11s but I need a date and bought the 6 digit over the 5. I really like the Maxi Case.

Genuine assumption as I’ve not looked… but I suspect the maxi case fat lug sub won’t retain value as well?!

Seems to be less popular amongst enthusiasts.

Could be talking out my bottom… but that’s my gut.

Glad you love it tho. That’s literally the only thing that matters 🙌
