terminology question, date windows

Date windows in watches come most typically in three forms. The simplest is just a cut-out. Then there is a framed window, often used as a window to give the dial some balance, especially with applied indices/digits. And then there is this thing in the pictures, which is sort of in-between, giving a cut-out a more textured appearance. What is the name of this? I am pretty sure I have come across the name once, but I have forgotten...

I've usually heard it called a beveled edge.

Thanks - that was not the term I have heard though, which may have been chamfered. Could have also been something French-sounding.

Chamfered edge is also correct, it's like indexes vs. indices vs. markers, a matter of preference.
