A recent article in Fratello on Seiko 5717-8990 Monopusher Chronograph from 1964 triggered me and also reminded me of a kind of a grail watch that I never managed to buy - Sinn EZM 1.1.
I am really interested in these very clean and highly functional chronographs without subdials or only one subdial! If you know of some chronographs like this please share, I would appreciate!

The Damasko DC72 would be an example. Measuring seconds and minutes. Instead of minutes and hours.
Patek Philippe 5975 Multiscale Chronograph is probably the pinnacle of the genre.

To add to this, the DC80/82 (no date/date), which have an external rotating bezel and ice hardened case compared to the fixed bezel, surface hardened case of the DC70/72.
