[Long Term Relationship] - Any ideas on how the WatchCrunch business works?
I believe that here is the best channel to discuss topics related to watches. This community is friendly and knowledgeable about the subject and a lot of posts are interesting.
The curious thing is how WatchCrunch manages to operate as a business, after all, building and maintaining this portal has a series of costs.
I can't imagine that the kind of data we produce can be sold in the data broker business model. We also don't see any ads between posts or anything like that.
I'm just asking because I expect this portal to be online for a long time.
Any idea?

Many early stage businesses follow a model of: launch a platform, build and grow a community, monetize that community at scale - usually through some combination of data mining (like you pointed out above), advertising, premium fee-based services and ecommerce. That's probably the long-term recipe in some form or fashion.
@Max can you comment on the longer term vision? or still working through it?
